Alexander Lewis releases Wassup with MadeinTYO and S’natra.  The producer well known for big brass, EDM, trap is showing his versatility by adding two different rappers to this beat. The ominous beat is the perfect backbone for these two vocalist to thrive on. The producer originally from the Bay Area is showing some maturation by taking more of a backseat role in production. MadeinTYO was part of a military family, so this forced them to travel often. They eventually landed in Tokyo, where the rapper spent his high school years. His brother is another well-known rapper, 24HRS.  S’natra is a rapper from Harlem, New York City on the come up.

Alexander Lewis sent a quote along about the track…

“‘Wassup’ gave me a way to show my versatility as a producer. It’s a pivot track of what to expect more of in the future. This track was super exciting for me, because I was able to bring together two completely different hip-hop artists with differing styles, while still complimenting each other. It turned out to be a ratchet musical gumbo of sorts that we all fell in love with.”

The trap producer was raised in the Bay Area and moved cross-coast to study Jazz Performance in New York City at the Manhattan School of Music. There, he joined the music collective Candid Music Group with Brasstracks and JNTH STEIN. Hanging around the New York jazz scene influenced his heavy trombone infused trap music. Since then, Alexander has been producing and releasing music, amassing around 10 million streams on Spotify.

He’s got an album coming this year, so keep your eyes and ears out. Listen to Wassup by Alexander Lewis featuring MadeinTYO and S’natra below.
