ANUKA – Perspective (feat. Yung Fusion)

Anuka releases her Perspective EP featuring Yung Fusion. One of my favorite songs off the EP is the title track, Perspective. The single showcases Anuka’s emotional vocals at a time she was going through intense heartbreak. All the songs off the EP are different perspectives, noting the situation she felt she was in at the present moment. With a fervent, heavy ambiance that harmonizes not only with the vocals on a tonal level, but also the lyrics on a more multidimensional level.

Her vocals are so raw and pure, I couldn’t help but feel the soul throughout the track. She’s a singer/songwriter from the Netherlands. Her influences come from an array of artists such as Banks, Aaliyah, Alina Baraz, SOHN, Kelela, Rhianna, Ciara, Bon Iver,  D’Angelo, and James Blake.

Her personal interests on Facebook include creating music, writing music, making music, producing music, recording music, singing music, performing music, mixing music, mastering music, talking music, and food. The EP was co-produced by Wannes Salomé. Yung Fusion, an artist from the Cayman Islands, co-wrote the title track.
