Bad Honey – Stuck on You

bad honey stuck on you

Bad Honey releases their single Stuck on You. The haunting vocals in front of a breakbeat is a unique combination that I’m digging. There’s a lot going on in the high-hat register, giving the entire composition a metallic backing. This gives a dynamic element to the entire track, which means the song sounds like it’s moving. Stuck on You carries elements of R&B and electronic soul that simply made me feel happy and inquisitive, from it’s unique sound choices on the percussion and texture side of things. The harmony between haunting R&B with almost a club-dance backing I found quite unique and interesting, putting me in a dreamscape throughout.

The lyrics speak about being destructive while comparing yourself to others. The destruction comes in trying to be someone you’re not, implying the best person you can be is yourself.

The single is off the groups forthcoming EP, coincidentally and purposefully entitled Stuck on You. Bad Honey is,  based out of South East London, made up of Lydia Clowes & Teresa Origone.
