Bazzi – Mine (Electric Mantis Remix)

electric mantis remix

Electric Mantis releases his remix of Mine by Bazzi. I love Electric Mantis because of how dynamic his productions are. There’s always a lot going on; however, the harmony and rhythm keep fairly consistent. The foley in this remix sounds like there are bugs fluttering around the track, an ode to his pseudonym. There’s a future bass/trap hybrid sound to the project in total.

I was super impressed from his previous original, Lying & Loving, featuring Mothica. His sound design is super intricate, specifically on the percussion side of things, using unique sounds to create the rhythm of the track. It only makes sense that he has his own sample pack. You can click HERE to check it out if you’re a producer.

Wyatt Pearson aka Electric Mantis is a producer from Anchorage, Alaska. He was raised in the Alaskan metal and jazz scenes. He eventually moved to Oregon for school and then California for music. He worked on official remixes for Porter Robinson, Gramatik and Giraffage. He’s toured with Mija, Jai Wolf, and Petit Biscuit.

I’ve got to also mention, Bazzi, rules. He’s got that future R&B sound with a beautiful, soulful sound on top of a bed of lush chords and appropriately sounding drums. He’s released two songs this month. They’re posted below.
