Bordo – Lay Down

Layering mellow, deep house, and rocking EDM vibes seem to be the backbone to French duo Bordo’s musical style.  While confessing that they find inspiration from everything from the sea, the sun, sand, waves, and sunlight, the clashes of elements go on to prove that Bordo’s blend of musical styles is the soundscape to the heart of summer.

After the success of their single, “Dance On It”, Bordo released a collection of remixes based on the single from 4 rising producers: Middle, Pogo x Pogo, CatCat, and Phunk Drunk!  The EP combines an electric blend from UK garage to disco through Tech House.

Now Bordo will be releasing a brand new single, entitled, “Lay Down,” a lively EDM and electro pop mix.  A steady electronic backbeat supports vulnerable female vocals that earnestly draw in listeners with its shining and sultry vocalizations.  As the silky vocals start to sink in, the R&B rhythms and pop overtures pervading this buoyant soundscape begins to tie in the electronic beats, which are the creative mainstay to the entirety of this song.

Bordo has produced a dreamy single with a lot of bounce without taking away the soul and bluesy connotations from the overall mix.  Reverberating vocals also create a haunting and electric soundtrack perfect for the summer.
