Cautious Clay – Cold War (Nick AM Remix)

Nick AM cautious clay

Cautious Clay released Cold War about 3 months ago. Nick AM recently remixed the track and turned it into a driving, indie, hip-hop vibe with velvet melodies and serene harmonies that hit all my feel good vibes. I posted both the remix and original before, so you can compare. They’re both great due to Cautious Clay’s voice. The anticipation build-up on the remix brings various percussion elements in, until the unique chorus at around the minute mark that uses Cautious Clay’s voice like future bass synths. Though, this is not at all a future bass song. Props to Nick AM for the unique use of vocal chops.

The remix below is great for car rides, especially at night and surrounded by city lights. The song almost sounds exactly what I’m describing. It could also be raining a bit, but not downpour, just enough rain to give the city lights that fizzy glimmer.

Cautious Clay is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter originally from Washington, DC and currently living in Brooklyn, NY…exactly like me! He played flute and saxophone growing up, and has been producing music for about 6 years. He’s produced for E-sens and Kim Ximya of the XXX in South Korea. I’ve got my eyes and ears on this rising talent.

Nick Momeni aka Nick AM aka 00:00 is a producer/DJ from New York City.
