ChampionsLeak – FuckThePainAway ft. Radiiio

ChampionsLeak is a production duo based out of Los Angeles and Germany. Their new single is FuckThePainAway featuring Radiiio. The song brings Radiiio’s soft, sensual vocals in front of a chill trap beat. The filtered and distorted use of vocal chops for the backing vocals/melodies give the song a pillow-like ambiance, giving the listener something they can float away comfortably too. The drum arrangement is super dynamic with the kick and snare giving a filtered-thudding contrast to the rest of the soft composition.

The high hats and vocal chops come in at the first chorus, adding another element out in front of the mix. This gives the primary vocals an accompanying high end to dance around.

The song is sad and happy at the same time. The slow tempo give a beautiful yet real tone to the sad undertones, and on the other side, the protagonist is “going to have a good time,” while searching for ways to escape his inevitable pain.

The ChampionsLeak sound looks to come to life without expectations from major labels and the artists they work for. This is both producer’s search for authenticity in the music production space. The artists feel as if this type authenticity leaves a lasting impression, and I completely agree with this. ChampionsLeak released the single on their joint venture label ZbeatZ. rBeatz collaboration in the works?!? The name fits…..
