counsel pop – trino (counsel’s mental mix)

counsel pop

Mat Zo’s newest signee to his MAD ZOO label, counsel pop, is set to release to release his debut EP next Friday called Counsel Pop Presents. In anticipation for the EP, the new producer on the scene released trino (counsel’s metal mix), posted below. If you’re a producer, you’ll find this one more interesting than the average listener. The technical prowess on the track below is impeccable. It’s a super forward-thinking arrangement (think Porter Robinson or Flume), and the percussion arrangement is super dynamic.

trino (counsel’s metal mix) is perfect for comprehensive listening, sound engineers, a challenge for songwriters, understanding electronic music, finding your inner dance-self, and showing off to your friends how eclectic your taste in music is.

Counsel pop sent a quote along about the song…

The music is inspired by trying to recreate that feeling of driving around in your mate’s car listening to the only dance CD they ever had. Or, hanging around outside SPAR listening to old dance tunes, surrounded by the grey of the estate and shite weather.

Matt Zo also sent a quote along about his excitement for his new signee…

counsel pop brings together the best aspects of Big Beat, Electro, IDM and other electronic music genres to bring you a rare sound that’s inspired.  And you can tell he enjoys himself in the studio because his music sounds fun.
