Daft Punk – Something About Us (Mickey Kojak Cover)

Mickey Kojak daft punk

This cover rules. First and foremost, I miss Daft Punk. Second, I’m happy Mickey Kojak did a minimal cover of Something About Us with a lot of the French duos melodically chill elements. He also added a psychedelic rock solo towards the end for that complete melt-in-your-couch feel. With jazz piano, an R&B drum arrangement, and Mickey’s inviting vocals; this is not a cover you want to miss.

Something About Us was off Daft Punk’s second studio album, Discovery.

Daft Punk released their fourth studio album, Random Access Memories, in 2013. The album won the 2014 Grammy for Best Album of the Year. They hit the #1 Billboard spot with the Weeknd on Starboy in 2016. Their last project was a produced track for the Parcels, Overnight. I’ve posted that single below because it’s so funky, and it’s the last publicly sonic thing that Daft Punk has done.

Mickey Kojak is an Australian artist.  This track is perfect for relieving stress, zoning out, counting sheep, drifting away, coming back, finding yourself, getting over a rough week, getting through rough times, basking in glory, and any Instagram video of yourself being lazy.
