Emilia Ali – Into The Light

Emilia Ali Dreamland

Emilia Ali has one of the most popular songs on submithub and for good reason. This future bass/glitch pop vibe certainly has a unique feel to the drop, playing with high and low octaves on the vocal chops. I’m a bit of a sucker for high octave percussion elements like drip and pop sounds, which come into play from time to time on Into the Light.

Emilia’s raspy, slightly gritty pop-vocals also help with the emotional power of the drop. I’ve been struggling a bit with future bass recently only because I think the genre has been a bit played out; but this one caught my emotions, really making me feel the power in the chorus. The subtle guitar, also provides a nice ambiance and addition to the subtle grit of the track.

Into the Light debuted at #24 on the iTunes Pop Chart. She is a singer/songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts. We last heard from Emilia from her successful music video with dwilly, Dreamlandwhich also charted on the iTunes Pop Charts.
