Essonite – Talk To Me

essonite music

Essonite is one of my favorite acts that many people don’t know much about. If you’re a fan of Pretty Lights, this live-electronic trio is for you. They have a fairly dark vibe and play around with that gritty sub bass sound, calling their sound future soul + dark funk. Their music ranges from 45 soul, to dark downbeat electronic using vinyl modification, modular sounds, and a complex musical ambiance. The trio is comprised of  Martin Esser (synths), Will Loftus (guitar), and Alec Powell (drums). Their album, Through The Hourglass, was released last year. Click HERE to listen to it and read my review.

In the past two months, they’ve released three singles. I’ve posted all three, so you can get a full taste of what this up-and-coming electro-funk band has in store. Today, they released Talk To Me. Last month was Time or Space, and the month before was Anything You Want To.

You can listen to all three below. If you’re a fan of electro-funk, sub-bass, and old-school samples, I strongly suggest you follow these guys journey on social media.
