Friday Feelz – Cinco De Mayo

cinco de mayo new music playlist

Here at rBeatz, we like to take time to celebrate music from all over the world. This weekend, take time to remember the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza.

In the United States, Cinco de Mayo has taken on a significance beyond that in Mexico. In the U.S., the date has become associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture. In Mexico, the commemoration of the battle continues to be mostly ceremonial, such as through military parades.

At rBeatz, we’re going to take this time to celebrate Latin culture in music. Below are my 5 favorite Mexican artists in electronic music right now. They are all included in this week’s Friday Feelz celebrating artists from Spanish speaking countries.
