The Funk Hunters – Party Rockin

The Funk Hunters

The Funk Hunters are eclectic. Party Rockin is the 4th single from their upcoming TYPECAST album. The single is an old-school, electro-house BANGER, taking inspiration from the jazzy, breakdancing trends of the 70s.  The electronic elements give it that modern feel, while hitting all nostalgia receptors in the brain.

I’m getting vibe of Afrika Bambaataa meets Daft Punk on this one. Party Rockin is much different than their previous release off their new album, Turn Down The Silence featuring Dirty Radio. Both follow that natural-pop spine with varying genre elements. These two singles are standouts in their respective genres, proving the duo’s versatility in production.

The Funk Hunters are comprised of  Nick Middleton (producer) and Duncan Smith (live show). They met while at film school in Canada. Their goal was to create forward-thinking music influenced by old school soul, funk and hip-hop.

They’ve been #blessed to produce official remixes for Imagine Dragons, Selena Gomez, Big Gigantic and Gramatik. They’ve played at Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Electric Forest, Burning Man and many more.

The single below is perfect for party rockin, late night disco raves, mid-day dance-offs, forgetting where you are, remembering why you’re here, feeling awesome, daydreaming, video games, and any Instagram videos of sick dance moves.
