Geoffroy – Bad Habit
Montréal artist, Geoffroy, has a released Bad Habit on Soundcloud, off his debut album, Coastline. The song discusses a bad relationship that’s difficult to break. We’ve all been in that situation, whether it’s romantic, platonic, or professional, sometimes we get in a routine that’s difficult to shake off. We know it’s bad for us, but it’s become so normalized, we can’t creatively think of a solution to change things.
Bad Habit showcases Geoffroy’s smoky/crooning/indie vocals in front of an ambient synthscape with a dynamic drum arrangement. The melody is a bit melancholy and apathetic, creating a feeling of being stuck, but complacent. It’s a chill song.
Geoffroy has been a long-time collaborator with Men I Trust, a favorite of ours here at rBeatzRadio.
Geoffroy has an interesting, worldly story, perfect for the rBeatzRadio global theme. During his early 20s, he backpacked around the world, eventually landing in Spain. There, he played music everyday. He eventually moved back to Montréal, where he wrote and produced his first EP, Soaked In Gold, with his friend and producer, Max Gendron.
