Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso (ft. Florida Georgia Line & watt) – Let Me Go

Hailee Steinfeld Alesso

A new feature on rBeatzRadio is Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso’s new single Let Me Go featuring Florida Georgia Line & watt. You might remember Hailee from the movie theater, earning an Academy Award nomination for her role in True Grit, singing along in the wildly funny and inspiring Pitch Perfect series, and earning a Golden Globe nomination for her role in The Edge of Seventeen.

After singing Flashlight on Pitch Perfect 2 (see below), Hailee released a cover and was later signed to Republic Records.

In 2016, she released Starving with Grey and Zedd, which peaked at the #12 spot on Billboard’s Top 100.

Alesso earned the #37 spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100, falling 17 spots since last year. Hailee and Alesso’s collaborated with country music duo Florida Georgia Line, one of the most successful country music acts of this decade. I’ve mentioned that country music will take over the pop charts more and more these days with electronic artists such as Avicii and Tiësto mimicking that country feel.

Andrew Watt aka watt is a bad*** guitar player who has played for The Roots,  Jared Evan, Cody Simpson, Justin Bieber, and many more.

With Hailee’s smoky pop vocals and Florida Georgia Line’s country vocal accompanying the track, there is a deep-rooted country-contrast that works flawlessly with Alesso’s downtempo electronic arrangement with pitched vocal chops as the driving melody. The backing guitar by watt adds to that country road feel – perfect for a long car ride or hanging out on a beautiful day.

Their single, Let Me Go, is newly featured on rBeatzRadio
