Home State – Another Night

Home State another night

When I first heard Another Night by Home State, I immediately thought of Sail by Awolnation. I think I only listened to that 1 song during summer of 2012. Their music is classified as pop-rock, with a gentle buildup into a powerful rock chorus that uses a super distorted guitar sound that almost sounds like a synth. The song is great for driving, pregames, parties, cooking, singing in the shower, solving personal anger issues, and slow motion videos on Instagram.

Home State is from New York City and comprised of David Berliner (percussion), Alex Friedlander (vocals), Matt Gralla (guitar, keys), and Jordan Glaser (bass, guitar, keys). The first three played music together at the University of Pennsylvania before moving to the big city. Jordan Glaser joined the band this year to make it a compact foursome.

Home State’s first single, Without Your Love was featured on Spotify’s Fresh Finds & United States Viral 50 playlists. rBeatzRadio’s partner, Blind Contour Collective, also helped promote the track.  Home State’s music is rooted in rock, but also has notes of pop, R&B, and indie music.
