Jacob Banks & Louis The Child – Diddy Bop

Louis The Child released a collab with Jacob Banks called Diddy Bop. I love this song so much, I’ve added it to this week’s rendition of Friday Feelz AND am writing a post about it. The elements of old-school, hip-hop combined with neo-soul elevate me. The single has that nostalgia factor while still keeping itself fresh.

On the production side, Louis The Child shows-off their pop skills. They can produce classic soul?!?! Impressive versatility from the duo from Chicago who’s currently on their European Tour. They’ve also been releasing new music like ???. Translation: they have recently released a lot of new music in a short period of time.

Jacob Banks is the real star of this production. His classic soul vibe is touching, raw, and I’d say a gospel masterpiece. The soul artist from Nigeria signed with Interscope back in September of 2016. Before then, he won the 2012 MOBO UnSung regional competition in Birmingham, Alabama and the Adidas Are You In music competition. He was the first ever unsigned act on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

Diddy Bop byJacob Banks & Louis The Child is off the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack.
