Jay Rock feat Kendrick Lamar, Future & James Blake – King’s Dead

jay rock king's dead

King’s Dead is the third single released off the highly anticipated Black Panther album that has been released alongside Cops on the Radar and All The Stars, which is being executive produced by TDE heavyweight Kendrick Lamar. Jay Rock is the credited artist on this track and is joined by Future, James Blake and Kung Fu Kenny himself, (Kendrick Lamar) to deliver a powerful record that will grab the ears of all who are listening. When listening to King’s Dead you can automatically feel the chemistry of all who are involved on the record.

As stated by TDE, King’s Dead can also be found on Jay Rock’s upcoming album that will follow his 2015 project titled, 90059. On King’s Dead, Marvel fans can expect various references to the events which took place in both the comics and films. The song itself is a tribute to King T’Chaka who was killed in the previous Captain America: Civil War film where Black Panther was first introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the soon to be released, Black Panther film, Black Panther is tested by the main antagonist, Killmonger to whom Kendrick directly references on the track; even rapping from his own perspective.

The production on this record is an automatic head bopper that is exemplified by the catchy hook and sick lyrical flows that are delivered by both Kendrick Lamar and Jay Rock. Having Future lend his voice to the hook of this record is the cherry on top for a great listening experience.

Recommended places to bump this record would be in the gym while putting up some heavy weights, pre gaming before a night out, or even in the car with your homie as you try to master both Kendrick and Jay’s complex verses with a friend.

Nick Viscogliosi

First off, thank you for visiting my page; Its a pleasure to be here. Name is Nick Viscogliosi, but my friends call me Nick Visco. As you can probably tell my name is one that not many can pronounce, so "Visco" is easier on everyone. Music has always been an outlet for me. Weather it be listening, or writing; I have always used it to help express my feelings. Being able to write about some of my favorite songs on here is a joy, however, don't be surprised if I say something you may not agree with. Being that I am such a music head, I can often be very critical. That being said I hope that you all enjoy my content, my goal is to bring as much personality as I can to my pieces. If I ever have an opinion you may not like, express that to me in the comments below and lets have a conversation! Blessings, Nick
