Kyle Watson – Vice Versa

Kyle Watson house music

Kyle Watson released Vice Versa off his own collective, Box Of Cats. They had some help from fellow producers, who remixed the original, taking it to the depths of low-end frequencies with shades of electro, acid, and techno. These producers are Wongo & Jeff Doubleu, Franklyn Watts, and Mancodex.

If you’re trying to power through a work day, daytime rave, pretend like you’re on vacation, run away from bad guys in a video game, listen to music instead of sports announcers, finish a marathon, compete in a cooking competition, or apply sunscreen, this is the remix package for you.

Kyle Watson is one of South Africa’s hottest DJs right now, scoring releases on the industries top labels such as Heldeep, Dirtybird, This Ain’t Bristol, Atlantic/Big Beat, Universal and Ultra. He’s done official remixes for  Rudimental, Oliver Heldens, Justin Martin, Malaa and many more.

What drew my attention to this house music was the grit and bass that came along with catchy melodies. I love low-end play, and this song incorporates that gritty bass sound in a unique fluttering way. The bass almost sounds like an insect, which I thought was cool.
