Lo Moon – Thorns

Los Angeles trio Lo Moon have released an exciting new single, entitled, Thorns.

Comprised of Matt Lowell (vocals/guitar), Crisanta Baker (bass/keyboards), and Sam Stewart (guitar), Lo Moon is a rising band in the LA indie music scene.

Thorns recalls instances of talk talk, Roxy Music, and the xx.  The great electronic beat has a great pop vibe and an alluring sound, dripping with ambient beats and atmospheric synths.  The dark feel certainly has a depth to it with a cool, crisp and dynamic cadence.  The horns sound off mid-track, giving the song a forlorn feeling.

Overall, this cascading music is dreamy, swathed in layers of electronic beats and great vocal harmonies.

With only two other songs out in the world – 2016’s Loveless and 2017’s This Is It – Lo Moon have proven themselves as one of the up-and-coming bands to rise out of Los Angeles music indie scenes.  The trio have already received acclaim from many creative outlets that include, The New York Times, NPR Music, V Magazine, KCRW, the Los Angeles Times, World Café, and many more.

Lo Moon is currently working on their debut album with producers Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cuie) and Francois Tetaz (Gotye).
