Lolo Zouaï – Brooklyn Love (Prod. by Stelios)

Lolo Zouaï releases Brooklyn Love produced by Stelios. What I love about this song is the R&B Marian Hill/Billie Eilish vibe. This style is certainly part of the future R&B movement, adding catchy melodic vocal chops to the game. Lolo has that warm ambiance with fuzzy synths and soft chords. Plus, it’s about where I’m from, so I’m a tad biased towards the title.

Lolo’s breakout single was released towards the end of last year: High Highs to Low Lows. That track really took off for her, amassing 3.6 million streams on Spotify. If I were a confident, upcoming producer, I’d reach out to her for a collab. Start by making something you think would fit with her vibe. Last year, she received the Songwriters Hall of Fame Abe Olman award, and earned a credit for her work on Still Down by H.E.R. on her Vol2 album.

The Paris-born, San Francisco-raised singer-songwriter lives the independent life, working on finishing her debut EP with a small creative team from KidSuper Studios. Keep your eyes and ears up.
