Lou Phelps – Come Inside (feat. Jazz Cartier)[Prod. KAYTRANADA]

Lou Phelps Kaytranada

Lou Phelps releases Come Inside featuring Jazz Cartier and produced by Kaytranada. This infectious old-school hip-hop track is hypnotic. I get a house vibe from this as well, with the four on the floor kick. I can totally hear this song killing it at anytime of day or night. It can work for daytime chillin’ or late night hazes.

Theres a nice contrast between Lou Phelps vocals and Jazz Cartier’s. Whereas Lou Phelps has more of an apathetic tone, Jazz Cartier comes in with a bit more energy. Not too much tho, as this isn’t an energetic song. Just enough to notice a different voice.

Kudos to Kaytranada, whose recently collaborated with the likes of Chance the Rapper, Anderson .Paak, Talib Kweli, and Alicia Keys. Lou Phelps and Kaytranada are brothers from Montreal, Canada. Jazz Cartier is a fellow Canadian from Toronto.

Come Inside is super bouncy, fluid, and casual. Those high-end, key sounds really add an extra element of surprise. The entire track is super chill and hazy, even the vocals that are on the lower octave scale add to that misty harmony. Those dispersed, key sounds add something different.
