Louis Futon – Surreal (Feat. RKCB)

Louis Futon surreal

That kid from Philadelphia, Louis Futon has a lot of depth and soul in his voice for only 23 years old. The young producer has already collaborated with some huge artists on official remixes: Logic, Mos Def, G-Eazy, Future,  Anderson .Paak, ZHU, and Wiz Khalifa to list some of them. He has also toured with ODESZA and has played festivals like Okeechobee and CRSSD.  We’ve posted about Louis before on his Marian Hill “One Time” remix.

From Trap to Future Bass to Soul to R&B to Funk, Louis is not defined under one genre. Genres don’t define him. With bright melodies and rhythmic electronic elements, Louis Futon has a good hold on all of the popular new genres to date.

In Surreal, Louis does what he does best and work around the vocals. He teams up with the duo, RKCB (producer Riley Knapp and vocalist Casey Barth), to create a soundscape with funk elements. Ambiance combined with funk, combined with R&B, combined with pop  – this is just what Louis does. He layers typical genres into a sound unique to him.

Futon says, “I wanted to create something really fresh and soulful with this one.” RKCB notes, “When we heard the track it was so immediate to us. We absolutely fell in love with the world it creates and just wanted to bring people in with us. It makes us feel almost out of control, yet entirely present and so in love with the moment.”

RKCB is continuing the come-up, having written and produced for Tinashe and Kacy Hill.
