Louis The Child – Last To Leave (feat. Caroline Ailin)

Louis the child last to leave

Louis The Child did it big in 2017. They just finished up their Last To Leave Tour across North America, which featured artists such as Win & Woo, Louis FutonPrince FoxLauvAshe, and Point Point. To round out the tour, the Chicago-based duo released their single, Last To Leave, featuring the velvety smooth vocals from UK singer, Caroline Ailin.

The song has a vintage tinge with a guitar melody fairly out in front of the mix alongside Caroline’s pop style vocals. The chorus comes in, which lazy synths that put me in such an anticipatory yet satisfied state. Louis The Child is known for their synth play, and you can hear it clearly on this track. I love the lazy feel and combined with a feel good song, it gives a nice contrast to the harder hitting modern electronic-pop songs.

Louis The Child are skilled when it comes to versatility in electronic music. They play to the crowd, varying genres depending on the vibe they’re feeling. I’ve heard them play dubstep, trap, and future bass all at Bonnaroo. They aren’t just producers, they’re DJs who know how to read a crowd.

They’re gearing up for another tour March of 2018 for their first tour in Europe. They’ll be taking Whethan along for the tour. I’m pumped to hear what these two do in 2018.
