Mentum – Fucked Up

Mentum releases their new track, Fucked Upan electro-pop song with catchy cadence. What I liked most about this song is the lead into the hook. The anticipation rise is subtle, and the lyrics on the drop come as a revelation. The harmony between the vocals and instrumentation are perfect for a night out on the town. The brass notes give the track a little extra umph, as one of the more amped up sounds on the track.

Fucked Up is the fourth release from the Norwegian trio, Mentum. They’re made up of Finn Eriksrud, Sindre Revelsby, and Tim Terkelsen. Finn completed his bachelors degree in music in Edinburgh, Scotland. Sindre comes from a musical family, being classically trained in piano from the age of 6. The multi-instrumentalist later learned the guitar, drums, and organ. Tim is the producer, having learned Logic Pro at an early age, being influenced by Daft Punk.

Their rise to popularity came fairly quick, charting in the top 20 most played artists on Norways biggest radio station, P3. They’ve gained 2 million stream on Spotify as an early competitor. They’ve supported Galantis at Sentrum Scene in Oslo.
