Mike Irish – Grandfather Clocks ft. Khary
Mike Irish is an owner of Shifted Recordings, a recording studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York City. He released a new single before the new year, teaming up with the Rhode Island native rapper, Khary. The single is called Grandfather Clocks, an R&B/indie hybrid with an upbeat tone and a distorted vocal narrative. It’s a song about hope, giving a glimpse of what’s to come next in 2018 from these two talented artists.
Khary has hinted that the two are set to collab more in 2018. Mike’s spacious, airy, wide, and groovy production techniques combined with Khary’s sharp dictation and lyrical poetry, I’m excited to hear what these two can do in 2018.
I’ve written about Mike Irish before on his previous EP release, The Joy Of Motion. To learn more about the talented producer and listen in on his sonic portfolio, click HERE.
Khary has since moved to New York City to pursue his career in music, transforming himself from an intern to a full-time musician. In 2016 he released an album, Intern Aquarium, documenting that transition. Mike Irish produced the single, 60, off the album. In 2017, he released a collab EP with Columbus, Ohio rapper Lege Kale. The EP was called Tidal Graves. Khary is currently preparing to drop another album in 2018.
