Mike11 feat. Jeremih – My Tata

Mike11 Jeremih

Latin R&B? Yes, please!!! Rising guitarist and producer, Mike11, teams up with Jeremih on his new single, My Tata. The song was inspired by the Netflix Original Series, Narcos. Tata is Pablo Escobar’s wife in the series. The song is an ode to the perfect woman, sticking with her man through thick and thin.

The Portuguese guitar paired with an R&B arrangement and the likes of superstar Jeremih create a unique collaboration that takes me back to the days of Boyz II Men while still keeping current. There are latin elements throughout the track, creating that international-pop sound throughout the track.

The single was produced by 8x Grammy award winner, Scott Storch. You might remember his rise to fame after producing for the Roots on their track You Got Me ft. Erykah Badu and Eve and his co collaboration with Dr. Dre for the song Still D.R.E.

He went on to produce with major acts such as Beyoncé, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, NAS, 50 Cent, The Game, T.I., Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil’ Kim and many more. He was awarded the Songwriter of the Year Award in 2006 by ASCAP.

Mike11 is only 20 years old. He’s looking to bring the Portuguese guitar to a worldwide audience . He was inspired by Carlos Santana.

Scott Storch sent a quote along…

“I was so happy to work with Mike11 once I saw his amazing skills on the Portuguese guitar. “My Tata” is a timeless song with beautiful music, and Jeremih killed the verses making a perfect harmony. Without a doubt, this song will be an international hit.”
