Travel and Tour the US with these 10 New Songs
In the United States, it’s Travel and Tourism Week. The week was established back in 1983 by Congress to celebrate the travel and tourism industry in the United States. I figured we’d take you around the US from the rBeatz perspective, and give you 10 new songs of artists from around the USA. We begin our travels in New York City, head west, then south, and end our journey in Washington DC.
New York, New York
Ben Phipps – Don’t Wake Me Up (ft. Mike Ruby)
I have to start with my home state of New York. Ben Phipps is originally from Sweden, but he currently lives and breathes in New York City. The 26 year old independent producer has released his single, Don’t Wake Me Up, featuring vocalist Mike Ruby from Canada. The song combines Ruby’s soothing vocals with an pop/tropical house style arrangement.
Post Malone ft. Quavo – Congratulations (jordnmoody remix)
A remix to a popular song that goes HYPHY, and I loved the texture added by the vocals. Jordnmoody from Indianapolis kills it on this one. From chill trap to hyphy trap all in one song, I’m loving the energy play.
Taylor Swift – Out Of The Woods (Mikayla Ciesil Cover) [Shhh Flip]
Next, we’ll take a quick 2 Hour 30 Minute flight to Chicago where producer, Shhh did a wild job on this T Swift flip, blending folk with video game uplifting synths. Beautiful, melodic, and electronic, just how I like it.
“Smoke-A-Lot” – Parables of Neptune (Lady Midnight & Afrokeys)
Next, we fly over to the Twin Cities aka Minneapolis, Minnesota to visit vocalist Lady Midnight and producer Afrokeys. This is certainly a chill arrangement with elements of soul, jazz, and trap.
RAC – This Song ft. Rostam
RAC is a grammy winning artist for his remix of Bob Moses’ Tearing Me Up. It won the Grammy this year for Best Remixed Recording. He’s got a summer vibe to his remixes that are perfect for long car rides and really just enjoying life.
Los Angeles, California
Mating Ritual – Drunk
Ryan Marshall, a.k.a. Mating Ritual, hits us with a long ambient intro that dives right into a Coldplay style arrangement that is simply pleasant. Definitely a Los Angeles vibe if I ever heard one. This track is also currently #1 on Hypem’s popular charts.
Mancos , Colorado
sophie meiers x michael mason – don’t be scared
Amazing vocals and a simple beat that really bring the vocals front and center. Also, that vinyl backdrop works amazingly with this track. The percussion dances around the vocals, and this is my favorite kind of music to listen to right now: dynamic percussion and beautiful vocals. Less is more.
PRISMO – In My Mind
Austin-based producer Prismo takes the original dance anthem In My Mind, and made a cover that blends uplifting synth hits and an ambient psychedelic feel with the words “In my mind, in my head” looping over and over again — then the drums hit, and wow! He recorded the drums and synths live to give the original that Prismo vibe.
Cedric Gervais feat. Digital Farm Animals & Dallas Austin – Touch The Sky
I love horns in my electro-house. Something about them makes me want to go absolutely crazy. That dance element makes sense coming from the French DJ living in Miami, Cedric Gervais. You’ll certainly be hearing this one this summer!
GEMS. – Forgive Me
Currently living in Los Angeles, the pop duo Gems. is originally from the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. With subtle percussion, dreamy vocals, and piano ambiance, their new track is a thing of beauty.
