NiC x ZiG – Long Nights

NiC long nights

Ahhhhhh, the funk is getting to me on this one. That slow sultry R&B style vocals on the hook with that funk has that 90s/80s nostalgia with a modern flare. Nostalgia is GREAT for popular music these days. And then when that sax comes in?!?! Ohhhh man, that sax is my personal weakness. Had my legs shaking.

NiC and ZiG are a live electronic funk jazz band based out of NYC. Brooklyn to be exact! They are putting out tracks every week! So follow them on Soundcloud to listen to that journey. That’s really pumping them out.

ZiG’s production prior to Long Nights is the song below, and it’s fire! Off of Chicago rapper Taylor Bennett‘s new album Restoration of an American Idol, Zig produces Neon Lights feat. Supa Bwe & the young rising star and Sprite-poster-kid from Atlanta, Lil Yachty. That FUNK rap is coming strong these days, with Chance the Rapper really changing the rap game to less repetitive beats, more soul/blues and funk elements. Oh yea, and Taylor Bennett is also Chance the Rapper’s younger brother 🙂 FUN FACT! Music runs in the family.
