OMYO – Mysterious Girl

London-based pop duo OMYO (pronounced Ohm-yo, an acronym for ‘Our Music Your Opinion’) are Oxfordshire-born Tom McCorkell (vocals) and William Edward (music and backing vocals), who formed the group after they took on a bet to write a song one New Year’s Eve.

OMYO is back with their latest single, Mysterious Girl, which has a great R&B vibe. There is definitely a sensuality to the song, with an alluring pop and R&B feel. Bouncy beats buoy the track.  Ambient synths bring a soaring, airy atmosphere as the piano keys trickle in.  A warbling electronic vibe is also distinct as the vocals talk about a girl that has caught McCorkell’s attention.

In a realm of infectious acoustic and synth-inspired urban pop, the band has gone on to perform throughout the UK festival circuit, including a set at Wireless Festival, and have been featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, The Sun, Sunday Mirror, Clash Music, and more.
