A recent report says that the Great Barrier Reef of Australia has suffered its most devastating die-off on record. In just nine months, bleaching caused by warmer water has killed around 67 percent of the coral in a previously pristine part of the reef, one of the natural wonders of the world. Nearly 700 km of the reef has been bleached according to aerial surveys. Scientists say it could take 15 years for the coral to grow back.
