Rangers release their new single, Fools, a UK grime, pop song with a fun contrast between the vocals. The haunting instrumental paired with the catchy vocals give me a fun yet sarcastic vibe. I’d also throw this song under the hip-hop genre considering Rangers are from Montréal, Canada. Although they don’t have the same accent as your typical UK grime track, they keep that grime cadence throughout.
Ragers is a group of four who’ve become a mainstay in the Montréal music scene. They’re a live electronic band that use elements of hip-hop and synth rock. That’s quite the mixing of genre’s, and if you’ve been keeping up, I’m all about the genre mixing. Some would simply call their style urban electronic music. Doe UEM exist?
The infectious singer on the track is Kristen Bromiley, co-founder, marketing director & graphic designer at Ghost Club Records, a label also co-founded by the popular Prince Club
Fools is a a single taken from the group’s upcoming EP, Raw Footage, which will take a look at the corss section of pop culture, electronic music, hip-hop, and the uncensored art that defines our society today.
