shallou – Lie (feat. Riah)

shallou riah

Today, shallou released a new single, Lie, featuring Riah. The song is an uplifting indie, electronic track with angelic vocals from Riah and bright, lush synth play from shallou. This can also be seen as a low-tempo future bass with pop leanings, alluding to the productions rich synth texture and dynamic ambiance. This song is perfect for pregames, floating in the clouds, easy listening, working, studying, cooking, watching sunsets, driving on the coast, enjoying nature, loving people, cuddling, falling in love, practicing gratitude, smiling, shuffling, and getting comfortable. Although Lie is a fairly uplifting song, there are still melancholic undertones that encompass shallou’s brand of happy/sad music. This juxtaposition in vibe becomes apparent in most of his works, providing further evidence towards the producers harmonic writing skills.

2017 was a big year for the producer from Rockville, Maryland (ahhhhh that’s where I’m from!!). Shallou amassed over 50 million streams on Spotify. This is impressive, seeing as shallou really started touring since the beginning of 2016. Last year, he released his debut EP, All Becomes Okay. After the release, his single, begin, skyrocketed to the #1 spot on Sirius XM Chill. The single has reached over 25 million streams on Spotify.

Shallou’s live performance isn’t anything to scoff at either, having toured with the likes of Petit Biscuit, Roosevelt, El Ten Eleven, and more. He performed at last year’s Panorama Festival, and will be performing at Okeechobee and Electric Forrest this year.

I’ve posted shallou’s upcoming tour dates below. If you see he’s in a city near you, I highly suggest you check him out.
