Stalgia – Talk To My Skin (NEO NOIR Remix)

neo noir remix

Neo Noir serenades my eardrums once again with their new remix of Talk To My Skin by Stalgia. The single was release off the Crooked Paintings label, a relatively new (2016) boutique record label and artist development company based out of Los Angeles.

The remix starts off with a soca beat, melding with the original, celestial vocals. The drop around 1:12 reminds me of an extra hype Star Wars party. Mostly because of the horn sounds. You hear that Neo Noir drop at the 1:55 mark, stretching that arrangement goooooood.

Stalgia is a music duo made up of childhood friends, Lauren Day and Brandon Leslie. Bullied throughout childhood, Brandon looked towards writing and performing. Lauren Day was a pastors daughter, creating a unique combination between the two. Last fall, they released their NOMAD LP. The original of Talk To My Skin came off that LP.

You can hear Neo Noir added a lot of elements to the remix. This jam is perfect for the opposite of book clubs, procrastinating on your chores, the peak of a night, food fights, trekking across the Sahara, fighting off the rebellion, cliff diving, and any Instagram video of you saving the world.
