Music Video: Starstruck – Into Diamonds

As a precursor to their upcoming fall compilation When The Stars Fell Phoenix based hip-hop collective Starstruck recently released a new collaborative video for a track called Into Diamonds, on their Facebook page. The track features a verse each by Cash Lansky, Blaze Rock, and Starstruck founder Black One, as well as choruses by Blaine Coffee.

Phoenix may not seem like a hip-hop city to outsiders but with the most recent crop of Phoenician rappers who have sprung up including Futuristic, Mega Ran, and Injury Reserve the Southwestern desert metropolis is seeming ripe with hip-hop talent. Black One prides himself on his ability to spot unique rappers and put them in a position to succeed, and that includes himself. Now with a stacked roster of skilled emcees working with him, there is no reason why 2017 can’t be Starstruck’s time to breakthrough.

“I give a damn what they say about us if these people really want to know, every diamond gotta come from the rough, me and my people know we bout to blow,” goes Blaine Coffee’s chorus about his Starstruck crew.  All signs point to those lyrics being quite prophetic in the near future.
