The Swoons lost

The Swoons are an electro-pop trio with a new song called Lost. The single combines elements of indie-rock, pop, and future bass that is primed for music discoverists.

The LA-based trio is crushing the Submithub popular charts. They have the all-time most popular song, with their release of SabreThey also have the second most popular song of all-time on Submithub with their recent release of Lost. This makes sense to me seeing how their song is perfect for us individuals searching for new, unique music.

The Swoons are comprised of Matt Underwood, Tony Ann and Giacomo Timbrello. They are from all over the globe: London, Toronto and LA respectively. Tony Ann played keyboard on The Chainsmokers’  Memories: Do Not Open tour last year. He also co-wrote and performed on their newest single, Sick Boy.

The Swoons started off as just Matt and Tony. They met at the Berklee College of Music. After a couple of single releases, they found another classmate, Giacomo to help with band’s original productions and remixes.

The Swoons sent a quote along with the song…

 “Feeling lost has been a popular subject in music over the years whether it’s love, your job or your personal life. So we wanted to write a song that flipped the concept into something more positive and hopeful. As any independent musician knows it can be a real struggle to feel hopeful when you’re constantly having doors closed on you be it record labels, publishers, venues or even simply the general public not connecting with your music – you’re always constantly looking for that yes, that approval to cover those insecurities you might feel”

“Set over delicate piano chords, muted guitars and an uplifting future pop-esque track we wanted to empower the listener to think “I’m not the only who feels this way” and that “I can change this state of mind into something positive.”

The band are currently working on their debut EP which will be released early in 2018. Further details to be announced.

Chris Stack

After graduating from Kenyon College, Chris Stack joined a branding and marketing startup, BrandYourself (as seen on SharkTank), in New York City. After leading the company to grow past profitability as a leading account manager, Chris set his sights on his passion: music. He currently runs his own LLC in New York City, helping musicians in the city with their online presence and marketability. A native of the Washington DC area, Chris Stack's passions and hobbies include music production (8 years on Ableton), marketing, baseball (Mets), football (Ravens), Netflix n chillin, and the experience economy.
