Um..a dogs tale
If you read the ENTIRE rBeatz Radio Lost Land Review, you would have heard I missed an act that I really wanted to see. That act was um.. – the dots are silent. Um.. consists of two graduates, Dylan Gold and Ben Bruce, from the LA music production school, Icon Collective. They started working together September of 2014.
They were big on finding a new direction. To fill a space in music that has not been filled yet guided by their creativity. They certainly accomplished this, creating some of the most unexpected bass/trap beats I’ve heard. Unique doesn’t even begin to describe their sound. The production quality is top notch, and the variety of sounds that play with the beat are astounding.
This music is also PERFECT to work to if you like bass music. It’s not too intrusive, but at the same time, I can see this music killing it at a 2am set. The music sounds like it’s two guys playing with random beats, and they have flawless arrangement and storytelling techniques.
I love finding new permutations in bass music. This music reminds me of what artists like Rezz and Ganja White Night are doing. Making unique strides in bass music.
They recently dropped their new EP, a dogs tale.
They also recently dropped their set at Shambhala Music Festival this year.
