Wake Child – Hangup Blues

Wake Child Hangup Blues

Hangup Blues is a soulful, smooth, and an easy-going percussion arrangement perfect for relaxing and driving. There’s a rock, blues soul vibe to the vocal arrangement and sound paired with bright guitars and harmonized vocals for the chorus. A fun fact about this song is that Wake Child recorded in the remains of an old Masonic Temple in Boston, adding to the authenticity of the creation process.

A combination of nostalgia vibe and contemporary sounds help this Berklee trained group stand out from the rest. At Wake Child’s core, they are an improve group. With all the technology in music, those who can play instruments AND improve are becoming more and more valuable. These skills are harder to program and bring out a pure nature in musical composition similar to what jam bands are famous for.

The groups take influences from The Wrecking Crew, Kid Cudi, and Paul Simon in the creation of their second single, Hangup Blues.
