YellowStraps – Blame (feat. VYNK)

yellowstraps blame

Belgian trio YellowStraps release Blame off Majestic Casual Records, the third single from their upcoming EP, Blame. With a casual setting that combines jazz, soul, indie-pop and electronic music, this song is perfect for easy listening. The trio is inspired by artists such as Daniel Caesar, D’Angelo, Tom Misch, Jordan Rakei, Moonchild and Robert Glasper. The song is about two people who are in love, but can’t compromise enough to make it work, blaming eveything but themselves. Sometimes love is selfish, and this song is an interpretation of that.

The single is perfect for breaking up, crying about it, being angry, playing music on your terms, pregames that your x shows up to, mellow Mondays, showing your friends new jazz, being cultured, and any Instagram video of yourself crying.

YellowStraps sent a little excerpt about the recording…

Feature Lennard Vink a.k.a VYNK jammed and recorded jazz piano on the Blame, which was eventually recorded in his hometown of Rotterdam.

YellowStraps was originally created by brothers Alban & Yvan Murenzi. Drummer Raph Stark aka Mr Comb joined later, competing the trio we know today. They won the Award of Most Promising Artist at Redbull Elektropedia after Mr Comb joined the group.
