YouTooCanWoo with Violet Sands and French Horn Rebellion

YouTooCanWoo Violet Sands

Band geeks and sound nerds gather round! June 30th, French Horn Rebellion is throwing a special party, promoting the launch of their new record label, YouTooCanWoo. The YouTooCanWoo studio has been responsible for producing musical artists such as MGMT and The Knocks.

This fun, light-hearted and classically trained tandem bridges the gap between technical prowess and raw emotion. Simply put – they’re really good at making music and their shows are a blast. I have no doubt in my mind the acts they surround themselves with will have that similar drive to develop a good show. The label release party on the 30th will feature Violet Sands, Darwin Deez, PROM, LEFTI, Gibbz, Germans, and Pink Flamingo Rhythm Revue.

One of the acts on the YouTooCanWoo label is Violet Sands, a trio comprised of Deidre Muro (Deidre & the Dark, previously Savoir Adore), David Perlick-Molinari (French Horn Rebellion) and Derek Muro (Love Like Deloreans, Mighty Five). The song below, Hands, is from their debut LP, Hotel, is coming out June 30th on the YouTooCanWoo label. I also came across Violet Sands music video for their single, No Matter What, and IT’S A MUST WATCH.  The music video was announced as a 2017 Webby Awards Official Honoree (Music Video Category).

Violet Sands sound has a bit of a MIA mixed with Phantogram vibe. Their electronic pop has more of a lighthearted vocal feel with uplifting melodies. The heavy kick paired with Deidre’s vocals on Hands has a nice contrast to it as well!

Let’s not forget about the guys throwing the label release party! This funky soundscape was released yesterday on Noon Pacific. The future is electro funk/nu disco and French Horn Rebellion are ahead of the curb.
