Phat Waffle
Phat Waffle is a collective from Charlotte, NC. The band started in 2012, playing covers in local Charlotte bars. In 2013, Phat Waffle disbanded. Each band member had their own projects and bands they played in from 2013-2023. In 2023, the band reformed for a single show, which led to Phat Waffle project officially starting up again. In 2023-2024, Phat Waffle worked on writing and recording music, utilizing a DIY method of piecing together different aspects of their music. Their EP, On Jay Street, is named after an adjacent from, The Playroom, in Charlotte, NC, where the EP was written and some aspects of it were recorded. Cole Millward at Giant Spoon Production took the flag from there and helped piece together the DIY methods taken to record the On Jay Street EP. Now in 2025, Phat Waffle is releasing singles from their EP, so far releasing Waffle Anthem and Choose Myself on all streaming platforms.
His next album, The Marshall Mathers LP, was noted as the fastest-selling album in rap history.
Eminem has done some acting work, most notably in the 2002 semi-autobiographical movie 8 Mile, for which he wrote and recorded the Academy Award–winning song “Lose Yourself.”
