If you like authentic bluegrass music with old-school Americana vibes, it’s time to sit up and pay attention to Blue Holler. As the premier acoustic bluegrass band in South Georgia and North Florida, they continue to inspire the bluegrass faithful and attract new fans from across the south. Blue Holler just announced a number of upcoming shows across the region, including a key spot at Bluegrass Revival: Historic Dupree School Bluegrass Festival.

Blue Holler was established in 2004, and their incredible lineup of players has been doing great things ever since. The band features the award-winning talents of Seabie Ewer on bass, Brandon Gandy on vocals and banjo, Brandon Taylor on vocals and guitar, Marshall Roberts on vocals and mandolin, and Skylar Gandy on vocals and fiddle. With diverse voices creating family-style harmonies and rich strings adding rhythm and melody, Blue Holler creates a memorable sound that’s both timeless and current.

Blue Holler produces a unique blend of bluegrass music, from traditional and gospel tones to jazz-themed songs and off-beat contemporary grooves. They impress audiences with every performance and have played at multiple venues across regional Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. Whether you’re a long-time bluegrass listener or a brand-new follower, Blue Holler’s instrumental perfection and impressive harmonies are a treat for all.

The Blue Holler legend continues to grow, impressing industry stalwarts and exciting audience members across the south. Recently, on October 29, 2022, the band was honored to be inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame. In the early months of 2023, they recorded a brand-new album, which they’re excited to bring to the people in live shows throughout the year.

Upcoming shows

Blue Holler has a full schedule in 2023; with shows in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. On March 4, 2023, they will play at the Tifton Rhythm & Ribs Festival, taking the stage at 10:00 AM. There are two other shows scheduled for March; one at the Historic Hahira Pickin in Hahira, Ga. on March 11, 2023; and one at Bluegrass Revival: Historic Dupree School Bluegrass festival in Dothan, Al. on March 25, 2023. On April 15, 2023, the band is playing at the Moultrie Downtown Spring Fling in Moultrie, Ga., taking the stage at 12:00 Noon. On April 30, 2023, they’re playing at the Pine Grove Baptist Church in Moultrie, Ga., at 6:00 PM. They’re also playing at the Holiday Hills Bluegrass festival in Laurel Hill, FL., on May 6, 2023, which goes from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

There are also shows scheduled later in the year, including the Sunday night sing along at the Evergreen Baptist Church in Adel, Ga. on August 27, 2023. The Landmark Park Bluegrass festival happens in Dothan, Al. on September 9, 2023, with the band playing there and following up the next day at the Chattahoochee Mountain Fair in Clarkesville, GA. Their last gig of the year is currently scheduled on October 1, 2023 at the Pine View Baptist Church Home Coming Celebration, which starts at 1:00 PM.

Bluegrass Revival: Historic Dupree School

Just around the corner, the Historic Dupree School Bluegrass Festival deserves special mention on the Blue Holler calendar. This festival is a celebration of all things bluegrass, with real southern music playing for 9

hours straight from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Bluegrass is returning to the beautiful grounds of Historic

Dupree School in a big way, and Blue Holler is excited to be part of the lineup.

Along with the award-winning tones of Blue Holler, audience members can expect wonderful music from the likes of Benton Brothers and Company, The Byrd Family, Old Harmony, and Dupree School Revival. In addition to music, there will be great food, fantastic arts and crafts, and silent auctions with amazing prizes. There will also be a kids’ fun area, a fireworks display, patriotic festivities, and lots of money raised for the historic Dupree Preservation Project.
