From Artist and Musician to Food Entrepreneur
John Morgan joins Oui Talk Raw for a conversation about creativity, entrepreneurship, and building a business in a way few people ever could have predicted.
An artist, musician, and self-described “artsy-fartsy weirdo,” John never set out to become the founder of a nationally recognized food brand. But after winning money on Jeopardy!, he and his wife launched Queen Charlotte’s Pimento Cheese Royale with a small stand at Charlotte’s 7th Street Public Market.
More than a decade later, the company has expanded into over 4,000 retail locations across 41 states.
In this episode, Jennifer Busco explores the mindset behind taking unconventional risks, how creativity translates into business leadership, and what happens when an idea grows far beyond its original vision.
This is a conversation about possibility, persistence, and creating your own path.
Growing Queen Charlotte’s Pimento Cheese Royale Nationwide
John Morgan
I’m an artist/musician/generally artsy-fartsy weirdo who started a pimento cheese company using some cash I won on “Jeopardy!” (true story). In 2014, my wife and I started QCPCR with a weekend stand at 7th Street Public Market. 12+ years later and we’ve grown The Queen to 4000 locations and 41 states – and we’re not slowing down 🙂
