Matthew Kaminski
Matthew Kaminski is a rare breed. He’s a musician who performs for a crowd of 40,000 people at least 81 times a year. That’s because Kaminski is the Atlanta Braves’ (Major League Baseball) organist and plays all their home games. He’s also a jazz organist (a Hammond Organ artist), pianist, accordionist, and educator. He’s been featured in the “Atlanta Journal Constitution”, the BBC, ESPN, “Sports Illustrated”, NPR’s “Weekend Edition”, and Fox 5’s “Good Morning Atlanta”.
A versatile musician, Matthew leads several bands that regularly perform around the southeast. The Matthew Kaminski Jazz Organ Quartet dives into the soul jazz of the 1960’s in the style of Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, and other legendary jazz organists. Mondo Hammondo allows Matthew to explore his more adventurous side by diving into the more obscure musical genres of Exotica (Tiki Bar Music), Bachelor Pad, Space Age Pop, and Lounge Jazz. The Hot Club Jazz Fellowship showcases Matthew on the accordion, playing the style of jazz popularized by guitarist Django Reinhardt, as well as the repertoire of vocalist Edith Piaf. Staying true to his Polish roots, Matthew leads The Georgia Polka Connection, performing at various Oktoberfest events each year.
