About Me – Reverend Danny Trapp
Rev. Danny Trapp is a South Carolina native who has lived in Charlotte with his wife Scottie for 40 years. They have two adult daughters; Simmons Purdy, who is married to Russ and lives in Columbia SC and Catherine who lives in Washington DC. They are the proud grandparents of the 5 year-old Purdy triplets!
Rev. Trapp considers himself a 3rd career pastor having spent 25 years in banking and finance before moving into non-profit management in 2007. That same year he entered Union Presbyterian Seminary at Charlotte graduating in 2013. After serving as director of an interfaith non-profit Danny has served as an intentional interim pastor at several churches in the greater Charlotte area. In 2025 Danny received his certification as a Spiritual Director from the Charlotte Spirituality Center.
When not doting on grandchildren Danny can be found with his family at Litchfield Beach, reading a good book or talking theology at one of his favorite watering holes.
