Leaving Tech and Returning to Creativity
Annie Haden joins Local Music Somewhere for a conversation about music, reinvention, and trusting the path back to what you love.
Originally from Washington, DC, Annie began studying music at age five and was already performing on national television by age nine as one of the Apollo Theater’s Stars of Tomorrow. Her musical journey has taken her through decades of performing, songwriting, and even a successful career in the tech industry before ultimately returning to music full-time.
In this episode, Terry Hudson explores what it means to reconnect with a lifelong passion, the inspiration behind her recent singles The Magician and Hardly a Party, and the creative momentum driving her upcoming release Futureland.
The episode also features a live performance of “Hardly a Party.”
