Sea Girl’s newest album was released in March of 2022. In support of the new album, intimate record store shows are scheduled for May 2022, as well as their biggest UK tour to date in November 2022, which would include a show at Alexandra Palace in London.
Sea Girls are an English indie rock band formed in London in 2015, comprising four members: on vocals and guitar, Henry Camamile, on lead guitar, Rory Young, the bass is Andrew Dawson, and on drums is Oli Khan.
The band is known for its indie anthems and energetic live shows. Their first release was put out on May 7th, 2019. Their debut single, “Call Me Out”, was released on June 1st, 2017, followed by the debut EP of the same name on June 8th, 2017. They released their second EP Heavenly War on January 4th, 2018. Adored, the band’s third EP was released on June 5th, 2018.
Although the band was not officially formed until 2015, it was in high school that the members had all met. During this time each member had played in separate bands, and it was not until they all eventually settled in London that they came together to form their own. The band’s name came from a misheard lyric from a Nick Cave song, “Water’s Edge“. Guitarist Rory Young loves the song but always sung the words as ‘sea girls’ instead of ‘city girls’. When asked about the name, drummer Oli Khan said, “We liked the nostalgia and whimsiness of it, but we also just needed a name pretty quickly at the time!”

The release date for this song was February 15th, 2022. The single falls under track 3 on their Homesick album.
