Kane & Katelyn Brown — Real Love and Country Music
Country music dream team Kane and Katelyn Brown wrote and released “Thank God” in 2022 as a celebration of their love. After years of requests from his fans, Kane brought his wife Katelyn on board for this heartfelt collaboration. While love songs are nothing new to country music, stepping inside a real relationship offers something truly unique. “Thank God” is a beautiful song full of graceful harmonies, poetic insights, and real gratitude from a talented husband and wife duo.
With lines like “You loved me when you didn’t have to” and “Thank God for giving me you,” this song is an honest reflection on love gone right. It’s a public note of appreciation and gratefulness, delivered by people who seem to realize how lucky they are. “Thank God” was hand-picked by Kane and Katelyn Brown as their first collaboration, and fans are hoping for more shared songs in the future.
The release of “Thank God” was followed by “I Can Feel It,” a Kane Brown solo track inspired by Phil Collins’ legendary single “In the Air Tonight.” This song and its accompanying video have captured the world’s attention, with Brown adding a high-flying ’80s rock sound to his country mix. While “I Can Feel It” still has elements of banjo, fiddle, and steel guitar, it adds power chords and high tempos to create a distinctly new sound.
The Kane Brown Story
Kane Allen Brown is an American country music singer and songwriter. Like many people of his generation, he became famous on social media before releasing his debut EP Closer, and accompanying single “Used to Love You Sober” in 2015. Brown signed to RCA Nashville in 2016, releasing his second EP Chapter 1 and his debut self-titled album later that year. This record included the single “What Ifs” with Lauren Alaina, which was his major breakout number.
Brown released two new singles in early 2018, with “Lose It” followed by “Weekend.” These tracks were included on his second album Experiment, which reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and also included the hit single “Homesick.” Brown did lots of collaborations over this period, working with artists like Becky G, Digital Farm Animals, and Khalid. His next solo track “Cool Again” came out in 2020, along with his third EP Mixtape, Vol 1.
Kane Brown’s fame grew during these years, and he started to get new fans and critical acclaim from all over the world. He became the first Black person to win Video of the Year at the ACM Awards, and he was even included in Time’s 2021 list of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Brown’s third studio album, Different Man, was released in 2022, with the single “Thank God” coming from this release.
The Kane & Katelyn Brown Partnership
Kane Brown is married to Katelyn Brown, a singer, designer, business owner, and proud mom of two girls. Katelyn merges creative and business skills, working with her husband while running swimwear and wine companies. Katelyn was a singer before she met Kane, signing a management deal and releasing songs like “Perfect” and “24KT” after attending West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
The pair connected in 2016 at one of Kane’s first concerts, bonding over their shared family values and passion for country music. They got married in 2018 and had two daughters named Kingsley and Kodi. While Katelyn hit pause on her own music career to start a family, she never lost her creative spark. “Thank God” might be the start of something special for the husband and wife duo, with the two singers even sharing the stage on one of Kane’s latest tours.
According to Katelyn, “We would love to do more music together, for sure. But we’re kind of just taking it day by day… We had so much fun. I feel like it brought another bond in our relationship and it’s something that we both love.”
