How Guerilla Poets Creates Space for Unheard Voices
Shane Manier joins Oui Talk Raw for a conversation about storytelling, resilience, and the transformative power of creative expression.
As the founder and Executive Director of Guerilla Poets, Shane has spent years bringing poetry, music, and arts programming into detention facilities, shelters, schools, and communities throughout the region. Her work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves a voice and that creativity can become a pathway to healing and connection.
In this episode, Jennifer Busco and Shane explore the role poetry plays in personal growth, the impact of trauma-informed artistic spaces, and what happens when people are given permission to tell their stories honestly.
The conversation also dives into Shane’s upcoming memoir, Duality of Wolves, which reflects on a childhood shaped by unconventional experiences, fierce personalities, and the journey of finding meaning through art.
