Who Is Joseph Gallo?
Joseph Gallo hails from Charlotte, NC. He grew up in the area and graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Music Industry Studies: Recording and Production. He is currently a singer, songwriter, producer, and audio engineer, still living in the Charlotte area.
Joseph has had experience in many different genres and has composed, mixed, written, and sung music in pop, rock, jazz, and even some opera. His wide range of music interests has given him the experience he needs to create well-rounded music for all. Joseph is connected to the music scene in Charlotte, but he also works remotely with industry professionals across the globe.
In the past year, he’s played many venues across the Charlotte area, including the Charlotte miniFEST and the Taste of Charlotte Festival. In 2021, Joseph released his first album, Roaring 20s, and he followed that up with two singles in 2022, “Restless” and “Wild Life.” He will continue to perform in 2023 and is also planning to write and produce new music this year.

Joseph’s first album has a jazzy rock vibe to it. The upbeat songs are full of life and have a strong drum beat that makes you want to get up and dance to the music. Let’s take a closer look at three of these songs.
“Dance” is all about just living in the moment. With lyrics like “take time to forget” and “forget our struggles,” this song is meant to just take over your soul as you move to the beat. This song is unique, as you hear the strings come through in the background through parts of the song. It’s a fantastic twist.
“One Way Street” has an offbeat that has you grooving from the start. It gives the music a fabulous lilt. The minor rap in the song keeps it moving forward as you’re waiting for the story to unfold.
In “No Wishes Go Untold,” he slows things down a bit, as in the song, he realizes that he has to push to keep moving forward. Another strong drum beat on this song brings it into the jazzy realm.
Joseph isn’t planning on disappearing from the music scene anytime soon, and with listeners all over the globe, I expect we’ll be hearing more from him before long.
